Dear Parents/Carers,
The Robins Magpie area tidy up is tomorrow morning from 9.30am - any help would be much appreciated and children are welcome to play in the field whilst we are working, please bring tool boxes, paint brushes and biscuits!
This week our staff and Kestrels were recovering from their wonderful residential. Another MASSIVE thank you to the staff for dedicating their time.
We have had a relatively quiet week this week, children have started their new summer term topics - The Robins and Kingfisher class are looking at Africa, through books and activities. Herons are studying the Vikings and coasts and Kestrels are learning about rivers. We have a geography field trip for Year 1,2,3,4,5,6 booked in too. There is more information on your topic webs attached along with lots of key dates for your calendars!
We are still getting snacks coming into school which don't conform to our fruit, veg or sandwich; so....in future staff will ask the children to swap them for a piece of fruit and they can eat their snack with their lunch.
Next week we have two students from Winchester university starting in the Kestrels class with Mrs Hines. Swimming lessons start for our Year 3,4, and some Year 5 children, we have managed to fit more lessons in this year which is great. Thank you so much to the parents who have volunteered to help walk the children back to school after each session - very much appreciated. Hope it gets a bit warmer for them!
Finally we have 7 children running in the Cocking 3k race on Sunday 5th May. More details will be sent out on Monday. A huge thank you to the family member who has offered to pay for the team's entry. GO SHEET!
.
