Dear Parents/Carers
Our wonderful annual singing event took place this week, see article below. We will celebrate the singing and the children next week in our celebration assembly. Suffice to say, the children were a credit to you all and we are very proud of them. We will try to make this date a Thursday if at all possible going forward to help with the efforts of an incredibly long day. If you fancy joining next year (juniors) please be sure that your child can cope with this day and that there is no unauthorised absence the day after.
This week we also sent Wilfred, Abby, William and Grace to a super art morning at Bedales. A fabulous opportunity to use the wonderful facilities at Bedales.
Library books - we have a brilliant library as you know, run by parent volunteers, however we are starting to lose quite a few books! There are over 100 overdue now, which is a colossal amount. Have a look for any books that belong to the school over the weekend and send them in on Monday if they are overdue or you have finished with them. Stocking the library was an expensive business and it is a shame to lower the selection for future years.
Next Monday our new R-Y6 Spanish Club starts, we currently have 7 children signed up so lots of spaces available. There are also a lot of spaces available for Y1/2 basketball lesson at Bohunt on Tuesday afternoon after school as part of our sports partnership with Bohunt. Sign up ASAP if you would now like your child to attend by emailing the office.
We begin our new singing event now: The Petersfield Music Festival' we have been sending year 5s to this for many years now and again, another fabulous music event to stretch and challenge our singers. I have started rehearsing with them and we have our first group rehearsal at Churchers College along with the other schools on Thursday morning. Children need to come into school as normal and will be walked to Churchers. Water bottle and snack please.
I think that's about all for this week. Have a wonderful weekend whatever you're up to.
