Midhurst Milers 2K Run - 12 Oct 25

Midhurst Milers 2K Race

The Midhurst Milers hosted another fantastic 2K race event this week, bringing together enthusiastic young runners for a challenging and rewarding morning on the trail. The event saw a great turnout, with nine runners representing three teams — one from the Kingfishers, six from the Herons, and two from the Kestrels. Each participant demonstrated outstanding effort, determination, and team spirit throughout the course.

The trail run proved to be a true test of stamina and perseverance, featuring a variety of terrain and a few tricky sections that pushed the runners to dig deep. Despite the challenge, all competitors rose to the occasion and completed the course with great enthusiasm and smiles on their faces. It was particularly heartening to see the encouragement shared between teammates and the sportsmanship on display from start to finish.

A huge well done goes out to all the children who took part — your commitment and positive attitude made the event a great success. Special thanks are also due to the parents and supporters who came along to cheer on the runners and help create such an encouraging and energetic atmosphere.

We are already planning more runs throughout the year to continue building confidence, fitness, and fun among our junior athletes. We look forward to seeing even more young runners join us next time.

For those interested in becoming part of the junior running club, sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8 a.m. Please arrive promptly and don’t forget your running shoes! Whether you’re an experienced runner or just getting started, everyone is welcome to take part and enjoy the benefits of running together as part of the Sheet Primary community.  For more photos, click here
