  • Highfield Swimming Gala

    Published 03/07/25

A huge well done to all the Key Stage Two children who took part in the recent swimming gala! Everyone showed fantastic team spirit, determination, and courage in the pool. Whether it was front crawl, backstroke, relay races or cheering from the sidelines, each of them played an important part in making the event a success.

We’re proud to announce that our team came away with several personal bests, some well-earned medals and we WON! Even more importantly, they represented our school brilliantly with their positive attitudes and great sportsmanship.

Thank you to the staff and parents who supported the team and to everyone who trained so hard. You’ve done us proud—well done, swimmers!

  • Sports Day June 2025

    Published 13/06/25

Another whole-day Sports Day took place at our school this week, and what a fantastic event it turned out to be! Blessed with glorious sunshine and clear skies, the weather couldn’t have been better for a full day of fun, friendly competition, and school spirit.

From the first race to the final relay, the children gave their all, showing outstanding sportsmanship, determination, and encouragement towards one another. Whether they were sprinting down the track, leaping in the long jump, or throwing their javelins, every child took part with enthusiasm and pride.

The staff were simply brilliant—organising events, guiding the children, keeping everything running smoothly, and cheering just as loudly as everyone else. Their energy and dedication made the day not only successful but truly special for all involved.

We were also delighted to see such strong parental support. Families turned out in great numbers, bringing encouragement, positive energy, and loud cheers from the sidelines. Their presence added to the celebratory atmosphere and meant so much to the children.

It was a memorable day for all and a wonderful reminder of the strength of our school community. Thank you to everyone who helped make Sports Day such a success—we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

16 Year 5&6 players attended the annual small schools tournament organised by Aspire today Friday 6th June. Both teams played some AMAZING football with over 7 goals being scored and at least 6 games each.

Sheet Purple (Y5) and Sheet Orange (Y6) ended up playing against each other in the quarter finals, Y6 winning who then went on to lose against Four Marks (who are a bigger school). The team were great sportsmen throughout. A huge thank you to Mrs Mifsud for taking time out to coach the players during lunchtimes and running the teams at the tournament.
